Course Objectives

Water is becoming a scarce commodity in many parts of the world. The reasons are diverse, with climate change a key driver. Other major factors include human consumption and the growth of water-intensive methods in manufacturing and farming. Because we can’t produce more, the only solution is to be more efficient with what we’ve got.

This training course specifies requirements and contains guidance for its use in establishing, implementing and maintaining a water efficiency management system. It is applicable to organizations of all types and sizes that use water. It is focused on end-use consumers.

This training course is applicable to any organization that wishes to insure and review water efficiency management system:

1. Achieve the efficient use of water through the ?reduce, replace or reuse’ approach;
2. Establish, implement and maintain water efficiency;
3. Continually improve water efficiency.

 This training course specifies requirements and contains:

1. Guidance for its use regarding organizational water use.
2. Monitoring, measurement, documentation, reporting, design and procurement practices for equipment, systems, processes and personnel training that contribute to water efficiency management.
3. The use of water-efficient fittings and equipment (putting in place a proper monitoring system for usage and leak detection).
4. Substitution of drinking water with reclaimed water, sea water and rainwater wherever feasible.
5. Recycling (process water or grey water. For utilizing water reuse systems).
6. Guidance and additional practical information for scenarios in water efficiency.
